Safety and You — How Reporting Works

safetyMarch 15, 20262 min read· by Kaisuki Team

What happens when you report

Kaisuki is supposed to feel safe. When it doesn't, reporting is the fastest way to get a human to look at the problem. Here's exactly what happens behind the scenes.

The report button

Right-click any message (or long-press on touch) and choose Report. Pick a reason — harassment, spam, hate speech, sexual content, etc. — and submit. The report goes into our moderation queue immediately.

Who sees it

  • The server moderators (if the message is in a server with mod staff)
  • The Kaisuki Trust & Safety team for severity-1 categories (hate, CSE, credible threats)

Reports are anonymous to the reported user. They'll never know who reported them.

What we do

For low-severity reports, moderators review and take action — warn, timeout, kick, ban. For high-severity reports, our T&S team reviews 24/7 and can take platform-wide action including banning the user account entirely.

Appeals

Mistakes happen. If your account is actioned and you think it's wrong, you can appeal at Settings → Account → Appeal. We review every appeal.

The goal

No platform is perfect. Our goal is to be the one that actually listens and takes safety seriously — not just with words but with staff, budget, and turnaround time.
